LegalConnect®, the industry’s leading-edge provider of cloud-based legal document processing and management solutions for legal services firms announced today that its SaaS product suite for eFiling went live earlier this month with the Los Angeles Superior Court (LASC) for civil limited case types.
LASC’s voluntary eFiling period started on November 13, with a mandatory eFiling requirements for civil limited cases to follow on December 3, 2018. All civil cases, both limited and unlimited, will be mandated for eFiling as of January 2, 2019.
LegalConnect’s certification was granted by Journal Technologies Incorporated (JTI), the vendor chosen by LASC to develop its digital case management system, and is a prerequisite for any service providers wishing to connect to the new platform. Leveraging its depth of technology assets and eFiling experience with other California court systems, LegalConnect was able to timely complete JTI’s rigorous LASC testing and compliance processes.
